Art Exhibition

The exhibition in June is the accumulation of all the art work the elementary students have worked on every Friday since the beginning of the school year. The students learn to use different art mediums such as pastels, water colors, paints, charcoal, pencils, chalk etc. They are also introduced to the styles of the great Master Artists such as Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Picasso etc and are encouraged to try and recreate some of their most famous works of art. Sunflowers by van Gogh, Water Lilies by Monet, Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, to name a few. Students also learn to work with different materials such as textured papers, glass, clay, plaster of paris, wood etc. It’s a work of art to see all the original, beautiful master pieces that our students have created at the Art Exhibition.
