Career Day...
at Oneonta is exciting as parents and community members gather at school to allow students a peek at what is like to be a Fire fighter, Doctor, Veterinarian, Police Officer, Banker, Musician, Rocket Scientist, Engineer, Clothing Designer, Nurse, Documentary Film Producer and other fun careers. Students decorate their classrooms and welcome the special guests. They have questions and answer sessions and hands on demonstrations; allowing students to climb on to a fire truck, sit in the back seat of a police car, use a stethoscope to hear heart beats, operate an expensive movie camera to video their friends etc. These hands on activities give our students a very good insight into different career choices when they are older.
