The Great Shake
Every October our school participates in the California Great Shake Earthquake simulation activity that teaches awareness about earthquakes. Students learn to ‘Duck and Cover’: stop whatever they are doing, find cover under a table, get on their knees, protect heads with hands and hold on to the leg of the table. Earthquake drills and Fire Drills are rehearsed once a month.
