Lock Down Drill
AKA Armadillo drill, is rehearsed once every 6 months. Students are made aware of what procedures must be taken if an unwelcome intruder is on our school campus. Once the alarm is sounded students move away from the windows and doors, drop to their knees and crawl (like an armadillo) very quietly out of their classrooms into a designated safe zone. Staff accompany students to pre-assigned safe spots, take roll and makes sure everyone remains quiet. Staff communicate via Walkie Takies during the lock down drill.
