SOROPTIMIST is an international organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.

The name, Soroptimist, means "best for women," and that's what the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best.

Soroptimist International is a Global Voice for Women with women in over 125 countries and territories, working through Awareness, Advocacy and Action. In addition, they are a worldwide volunteer service organization for women in management and the professions, Soroptimist strives for Human Rights for All, Equality, Development and Peace through International Goodwill and Understanding and Friendship.

Soroptimist International of Buena Park was chartered on June 23, 1965, and seeks to improve the lives of women and girls within our own neighborhood.
